Location: Fenced in area of the Frost Fest Tent on the 200 S. Block of Washington Square
Cost: $60 per team.
(Entry Fee also includes entry into the Micro-brew Beer Tent + a Frost Fest mug + one drink per player ($30 value))

"Cold Butt" Euchre Tournament Rules

All participants in the Euchre Tournament will actually be sitting on a Block of Ice
                                                 

·         All participants must be 21 years or older

·         The tournament is limited to 20 teams

·         If an odd number of teams register, the first team registered gets a bye for the first round

·         BUTTS MUST REMAIN ON THE ICE AT ALL TIMES EXCEPT WHEN CHANGING TABLES! If any team member removes his/her butt from the ice during play, your team is disqualified.

·         All team members must be present and checked-in 10 minutes prior to your team’s scheduled play time or your team will be disqualified.

·         Teams are not allowed to exit the tented area unless your team is no longer playing in the tournament. This holds up the tournament and other teams, so any teams that leave the tented are will be disqualified.

·         The honor system will be observed when keeping score

·         Score reverts to zero after each round

·         The first round to play ends after two rounds of dealing. The ten top-scoring teams advance.

·         The second round consists of five tables and ten teams. Round ends after four rounds of dealing. The four top scoring teams advance.

·         The third round will consist of three dealing rounds. Winning two teams advance to final round.

·         The final round is regular Euchre play. The first team to 10 points wins!

There are no more slots available for teams in the 2012 Euchre tournament.


As participants of the Frost Fest 2012 "Cold Butt" Euchre Tournament, you will agree to not hold the City of Lansing and Downtown Lansing Inc. liable for any injury or sickness related to tournament play and will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to start of the tournament.
