Carefully crafted by the Michigan Brewing Company, this is not a craft beer. This is not a snifter pour. This is not a beer with a flowery finish or oaky undertones. No, this beer takes water from the Saginaw aquifer and turns it into a beer that stands out and seems familiar at the same time. Let's put it this way, Badass is a beer that was brought up to go down easy.

The Plaid Penguin is a Scotch Ale. Scotch Ales are strong ales, also known as "Wee Heavy." Scotch Ales traditionally go through a long boil in the kettle for a caramelization of the wort producing a deep copper to brown colored brew. The Plaid Penguin holds true to the traditional form for Scotch Ales and is sweeter, fuller-bodied, and higher in alcohol. The Plaid Penguin has a low IBU (low bitterness) and has a much more pronounced malty caramel and roasted malt flavor. All in all, nothing warms you up like The Plaid Penguin. (He's "Wee Heavy" under the kilt!)

Our Interpretation of a legendary ocean crossing classic is not for the timid. Assertively hoppy and dangerously seductive. A skillful blend of three premium barley malts with generous amounts of Northern Brewer and Cascade Hops creates a special ale to satisfy the most demanding palate.

Celis Raspberry is a traditional Belgian-style fruit beer with full flavor, tartness and a rich, rosy hue.  Selected hops add balance and contribute to its seductive aroma. It is delicious on its own or as a refresher. And it is the perfect complement to bread and cheese, vanilla ice cream or chocolate cake.

    

Arcadia Brewing's version of an 18th Century "Smoked Porter". Our London Porter has a subtle accent of beechwood smoked malt, which comes through nicely in the aroma and the flavor. Brewed using seven varieties of premium European malted barley, this full-bodied beer is characterized by hints of chocolate and coffee, and balanced by a long-lingering hoppy bitterness.

In a style that generally focuses on malt alone, our London Porter is unique in its rich, smoky, peaty characteristics. It has earthy, grassy notes as well, courtesy of UK Goldings hops.
